Remembering Lot's Wife

Why do we do the things we do as Christians?  We run around all week busy with our day-to-day lives, hardly giving God a second thought let alone a first thought, worried about this or that, full of fear about this or that thing, scared of what the future might hold, and desperate for things to be good in our lives. We all want the good life, the cozy life, the easy life, and we spend a good amount of our time trying to get it. Has anyone here ever bought a lottery ticket? Me too. We all go through a point in our lives where we long for things to be the way they used to be, for life to be good again. But the thing we often forget is that we were thinking the same exact thing back then as we are now. It’s a bit like fine wine—except it turns out we were drinking grape juice the whole time. We rarely realize just how good we have it until we are looking back on our past in the context of our current life. The grass is greener on the other side of the fence, as they say. We are really...

We Led the Way

In modern Christianity there is a fundamental misunderstanding surrounding the topic of leadership and authority, especially in the family, but in the larger Church of God as well. Men do not understand their role, and women don’t understand the men’s role either, let alone their own role. For example, how many times have you heard your pastor or another person speak about “servant leaders?”  There are few things that have done as much damage to true leadership in the Church and family as that phrase and the ideas that go along with it. That small aspect is where all the attention ends up being placed in the modern Church, unfortunately; as a result, we have very few true leaders because leadership is not being taught. The leadership that results from a lack of knowledge is weak and ineffective, which leads to a breakdown of the family and the Church. The world face...

Destroying the Beautiful: Feminism and Communism

Image
Prologue Me: Do you think this post will help people understand the issues with feminism and how it ties in with Satan worship and communism?  B: It depends on who's reading it. Feminists either won't read it, or will say you don't understand true feminism, or will claim those quotes don't represent most feminists, or will make some other excuse, as usual. People who already disagree with feminism should find value in it. That's my opinion, anyway. I think it's pretty clear how feminism ties in with communism and Satanism, though. Especially when you have their own quotes. Me: I guess I'm hoping that, like with any cult, a lot of them didn't do any study for themselves and just heard something that sounded good and followed it without knowing the truth about it. They are my target.  B: Well, you never know. It's God who opens people's eyes, not us. All we can do is speak the Truth . Where It Begins How does one begin to write about the history of...
