Racism, Racism Everywhere!
‘Racist’ is a common last-ditch argument point common among the liberals of today’s day and age. It’s overused, misused, and wholly misunderstood. Is racism a problem in today’s day and age? Well, let’s take a look at where the ideas of ‘race’ and ‘racism’ come from in the first place.
Our human nature makes it common for us to identify traits and problems based on the most outstanding physical feature rather than the underlying human. We can see a bunch of crime statistics that show that crime in black areas is way higher than crime in white areas and assume that, well, it’s because they have a higher melanin concentration that the crime rate is higher. The same thing happens when we see a group of bankers who are Jewish and evil; then, we assume they are evil bankers because they are Jewish and have big noses. When we take this approach, it leads to hating an entire grouping of people based on their physical characteristics or their ethnicity rather than their individual actions.
If we look past their higher melanin concentration, we see that crime is higher in black areas of cities because of a lack of father figures in the lives of young black men and women. When we look at high crime areas in white sectors, we find the same thing: the father's absence. Moving a little deeper than that, we see a lack of belief in God as the largest factor at play in high crime areas and in people who perpetrate crimes. In any large group of people who commit crimes, the factors common to them all, whether African refugees or illegal immigrants coming across the southern border, is that they either lack a strong father, a strong belief in God, or both. Their melanin count or the size of their nose has nothing to do with the way they live or their intelligence.
There certainly are differences between area groups of people, though. For example, people from Asia are often more intelligent regarding mathematical patterns, people from Europe are often more intelligent regarding mechanical patterns, and people from Africa are more intelligent regarding physical pattern recognition. There are always exceptions to these generalities, but these are the basics. It has nothing to do with their skin color, however. If you test for certain types of intelligence, then that is what you will find at the same time discriminating against those who have a different typt of intelligence. The IQ test was originally invented for seperating people by their perceived intelligence levels and was quickly latched onto by eugenicists to determine which people ought to be sterilized.
Where does the idea that one race is superior to another come from in the first place?
Interestingly enough, it comes not from the Bible, which states the exact opposite, but from evolution. Darwin suggested that the black race was evolving at a slower rate than the white race, and they were closer to their monkey ancestors than the whites were, specifically Australian aborigines. Technological advancement of the white Europeans over the rest of the world is used as evidence of this. American Indians were seen as lesser because they lived in a more primitive manner, as were any of the primitive tribes of any land. What is little remembered is that most of white Europe was primitive until the Romans invaded.
Are our technological advancements actually superior to the way these people were living? As our societies descend more and more to evil, I question this deeply. Technological advancement has, in a way, led to the downfall of society, greater death in war, and greater unhappiness.
Something to remember is that a corrupt government leads to a lack of innovation and invention. In America, we were extremely blessed to have the freedom to innovate. In Third World countries, they don’t have this same freedom, and their governments keep them suppressed. We are beginning to see this more and more in our own country as tremendous advancements are suppressed, whether clean and cheap fuel made from water or cures for cancer. It’s not based on skin color at all but rather a separation from God.
With a quality education, the races are equal. Currently, under the public education system, no one is getting a quality education. However, when there is determination, regardless of circumstances, greatness can be achieved. Booker T Washington, a great author, and orator; George Washington Carver, one of the foremost botanists and agricultural inventors; and Dr. Ben Carson, the top neurosurgeon in the country, for example.
Evolution says that one race is superior to another, but the Bible says that all men were created in the image of God and originated from the same two people, Adam and Eve. All people have the same potential to be sons and daughters of God regardless of their physical features. God does not look at the outward appearance but at the heart of a man.
1 Samuel 16:7 ESV — But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the LORD sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart.”
Racism is nothing more than discriminating against a group of people based on the melanin content of their skin rather than the content of their heart.
A common myth is that the black skin coloring came about because God cursed Ham; thus, the black skin coloring was born. So no one who follows God can marry anyone who descends from Ham because they bear the black curse, never mind that Moses married a woman descended from Ham, and God punished his siblings for criticizing the marriage.
Numbers 12:1-12 NKJV Then Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married; for he had married an Ethiopian woman. ...
4 Suddenly the LORD said to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam, "Come out, you three, to the tabernacle of meeting!" So the three came out.
2 So they said, "Has the LORD indeed spoken only through Moses? Has He not spoken through us also?" And the LORD heard [it].
5 Then the LORD came down in the pillar of cloud and stood [in] the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam. And they both went forward.
6 Then He said, "Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, [I], the LORD, make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream.
7 Not so with My servant Moses; He [is] faithful in all My house.
8 I speak with him face to face, Even plainly, and not in dark sayings; And he sees the form of the LORD. Why then were you not afraid To speak against My servant Moses?"
9 So the anger of the LORD was aroused against them, and He departed.
10 And when the cloud departed from above the tabernacle, suddenly Miriam [became] leprous, as [white as] snow. Then Aaron turned toward Miriam, and there she was, a leper.
11 So Aaron said to Moses, "Oh, my lord! Please do not lay [this] sin on us, in which we have done foolishly and in which we have sinned.
12 "Please do not let her be as one dead, whose flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother's womb!"
Their sin was two-fold. First, they criticized his marriage to a black woman; second, they questioned his legitimacy as God's chosen leader because of that marriage. Rahab, a woman in the line of Christ, was descended from Ham. This is no shocking thing because God had always made it possible for Israelites to marry the nations around them after following a strict set of guidelines. His prohibition to marry different peoples was always because of their paganism, not their skin color. Now getting back to that myth, God did not curse Ham.
Genesis 9:22-25 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father and told his two brothers outside. Then Shem and Japheth took a garment, laid it on both their shoulders, and walked backward and covered the nakedness of their father. Their faces were turned backward, and they did not see their father’s nakedness. When Noah awoke from his wine and knew what his youngest grandson had done to him, he said,
“Cursed be Canaan;
a servant of servants shall he be to his brothers.”
As we can see here, it was Ham’s son Canaan who received the curse, not Ham. Rahab, a descendant of Canaan, married an Israelite. This reinforces that God’s people are not defined by melanin content but rather by their belief in God, and it is this that determines whether or not someone is eligible for marriage.
Colossians 3:11 ESV — Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is all, and in all.
Another false idea perpetuated by the modern racism of the ‘pure race’ doctrine is that our bloodlines are somehow less pure and more corrupted if we marry someone of a different race. Our race is superior to others, so marrying a different skin color corrupts our bloodline and contaminates it. The idea of a “pure” race is baloney as well. Not only is there no such thing as a pure race, but just like with dogs, the purebreds are genetically depleted and weak. This is what happens with inbreeding, and we can see heavy examples of this in royal families throughout history.
This is racism at its finest. Racism is a ploy of Satan pushed through evolution and does not come from God. Satan seeks to divide us by whatever means possible, and physical traits are some of the easiest ways he can cause division.
Philippians 2:3 ESV — Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.
We are to look at others as better than ourselves, not as lesser because of their skin color. We all have the same spiritual potential, and we are all made in the image of God. I’m going to include further reading at the end of this post for more information, and there will be links within those sources that will take you to even further reading.
Racism is misused to mean anything that disagrees with a liberal’s argument, but it is a real issue in various places within the Church. There is still discrimination against people of other skin colors, and it’s from everyone, not just white people. Every skin color is capable of discrimination because it’s a human trait. We must learn to see as God sees and look past the physical characteristics and see people for the content of their heart. Good people are rare, and there are good people of every shade. There are more evil people in this world than there are decent ones, and evil is not restricted to one skin color. Unfortunately, because of culture and separation from God, certain areas of cities are more crime-ridden, but as more and more people turn away from God, this is spreading everywhere. As parents abandon their duties, they leave the responsibility of raising their kids to the government, which leads to further descent away from God and His standards. This is the real problem, a lack of strong parental influences in their kids' lives. When parents raise their kids in God’s ways, society improves and grows strong because the family is strong. Parental weakness started in the black and Hispanic areas, but it is swiftly spreading to the rest of society because God has been removed.
Everything regarding racism and a poorly functioning society boils down to one thing, turning away from God. God created two people, two people who had enough genetic diversity to lead to the offshoots of every shade of brown. Everyone who descends from these two people is created in the image of God and comes from one blood.
Act 17:26 NKJV "And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings,
To say that marriage between people of different skin colors is wrong flies completely in the face of scripture. We all had the same two ancestors, and even more recently, Noah and his sons as well. You cannot all be of the same human race and then suddenly declare that marriage between those of the same species is wrong, but we run into a popular argument here. The argument supposes that the different skin colors indicate different species and use the command not to mix fabrics to support this argument. The command not to mix fabrics is used as an excuse, “Well, see! You aren’t supposed to mix two different things together. You couldn’t mix different kinds of animals either.” This ignores one thing among many; people all had the same ancestors and are of the same family. Donkeys and horses or different types of fabrics were created separately. They were created differently. Humans on the other hand were created as part of the same species. Leviticus 19:19 doesn’t explicitly discuss hybrids between horses and donkeys. It just states a prohibition against mating different kinds of domestic animals or cattle. Thus, it is most likely a broader prohibition preventing any attempt to mate different kinds of animals—a horse with oxen, sheep, or camel. This would then fit perfectly with the command to not yoke donkeys and oxen together (Deuteronomy 22:10). Either way we look at it, humans all have the same ancestors, and comparing humans to animals is an utterly faulty line of reasoning. Humans, too, were forbidden from mixing with other species, but humans are a single species.
‘Cursed is the one who lies with any kind of animal.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’
Deuteronomy 27:21 NKJV
There is one race on the Earth, the human race. We all come from the same source, and we are all made in the image of God. Hatred of someone for their skin color is hating someone because they have a higher or lower melanin concentration than we do. It’s really that stupid.
Racism does exist in today's world, but not the way most liberals think it does. It's not specific to one skin color or ethnicity, and it's not every single action that people make. America is not institutionalized racism; white people are not all inherently racist. We are all people, and our human nature is to judge people based on their physical features and attributes rather than their character. As Christians, our job is to see people as God sees them, and He looks at the inward man and the content of their character. This is how we must see people as children of God.
