  In our recent examination of Christmas , we saw how the holiday began as a church attempt to sanitize the devil worship of the heathens, and that nearly every modern Christmas tradition stems from the pagan celebrations of Saturnalia and Yule.   What is truth? When I look at the world around me, I see a generation and society that does not put much stock in truth. In today’s world, someone’s word is meaningless. If you make an agreement with just a handshake, you would be considered a naïve fool. As a general rule, people feel no obligation to carry through with what their mouth has spoken. If you want an example, try selling something on Craigslist or a marketplace and see how many people you go through before someone bothers to show up when they said they were going to. We live in a world where there are no personal consequences for telling lies. Just look at the media or all the politicians in this world. The majority of the masses alive today will not speak the truth if a lie will do. If we were to take to the streets and conduct a poll of random people, asking them what the definition of truth is and how important it is to their lives, I think we would be shocked at the answers we would receive. There has been a lot of discussion in the circles I frequent about the law of God and whether or not it is still in effect. Here are five verses that conclusively prove that the law of God is still in effect today. #1 Romans 2:22-24 NKJV You who say, "Do not commit adultery," do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples?  23 You who make your boast in the law, do you dishonor God through breaking the law?  24 For "the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you," as it is written. Romans was written to the mainly non-Jewish congregation in Rome, which makes this section especially interesting. Notice in verse twenty-four, Paul is getting on their case for being hypocrites, saying, “Do not commit adultery” while they are committing adultery themselves. Obviously, it’s a bad thing to commit adultery, so what Paul is getting on them for is not them saying it’s wrong; it’s the fact that they are doing it themselves. This brings us to v
